What else is a SMP good for?

I am planning on getting a MS in biomedical science in a SMP at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. While my desire is to use this degree to attend medical school, I am wondering if there are good options for employment with this masters.

Basically I would like to know if there is a fall back position if for some reason med school doesn’t work out.
