I'm a career changer so I have 14 years of teaching experience and 0 years of med experience. What are some entry level medical jobs a post-bac program (eventually med school) would find relevant? I was thinking EMT but I've seen here that schools don't really care about it. I live in a metropolitan area so all suggestions are welcome!

What did you teach? Where did you teach? Was it in a low income/rural area? Did you engage in any other extra curricular activities such as coaching, volunteering?

I'm not sure that entry level medical jobs will do very much to help your application. If you are applying to med school as a career changer (as I am) you do need to have a compelling reason for the switch and you will need to demonstrate that you are familiar with the field and not a risk to drop out or change careers again. I think you can achieve this goal through volunteering in a hospital or clinic (in low income and rural areas you may be able to experience more than in a large, busy hospital near a college) and for a sustained period of time. You could also convey an interest in medicine through extra curricular clubs that involve health. Additionally, non-medical volunteer experience will also help your application (though you do need to have volunteer hours in a hospital) as it will help round out your application.
