I know that AMCAS verifies the classes/grades and provides the report breaking down sGPA & aoGPA by year as well as cum at the bottom. Are copies of your actual transcripts also available for viewing by adcoms? are they all attached along w/the summary provided by AMCAS?

I've read through many posts and it's not clear what AMCAS actually provides to adcoms/what they actually see?

They won't see your actual transcripts until you send the transcripts for matriculation.

interesting news is interesting...I just transferred from a state school to a top 10 undergrad...if they only see the AMCAS report it'll be hard to distinguish what was taken where...

and also makes all the orgo hype seem unnecessary if you can just pad with some easier bio classes and they'll never know the difference until matriculating?

They will see what classes you took where. Have you ever entered information in AMCAS or seen a printed copy?

have not...will be doing so next cycle...this answers my question though and makes considerably more sense!

You have to enter all your grades by hand and AMCAS will check everything against your transcript, so really the schools may as well be seeing your transcripts. You're also required to state which institution each class was taken at and when. You also have to list all courses ever, even if they don't count towards your GPA, were forgiven, taken in high school as dual enrollment credit, etc.

When med schools see that you took IB/AP credit for a course, do they see your IB/AP test score? Or simply that you got credit for this or that course with the test?
