Hello everyone,
I just wonder what is in the letter of recommendation? Since it is confidential and we are not supposed to read them, I'm wondering if anyone know how strong/weak your LoR is?
Also, is it kinda like an essay about yourself written by others? Or they(the ones write LoR for you) just need to answer certain questions and not writing an essay?

The ones I've seen had a "rate the candidate" chart where they list characteristics on one axis and rating scale on the other. There was about 10-13 characteristics. Then there is the "check the box if you find candidate appropriate for the field he/she's applying. And on the second sheet it's a short essay stating how he/she fared in classes and what her/his strengths and weaknesses are.

Here's what PharmCAS's letter of recommendation is roughly like. I'm not sure how exact it is to the actual LOR (since I obviously haven't seen it). But I'm sure it must be very similar since PharmCAS provides it so you can use it as a reference to select the best people to write them. Hope that helps.
