I am currently a sophomore and I am considering optometry as a potential career. I probably should start shadowing an OD but I am curious as to what an optometrist actually does. Does an optometrist only diagnose and prescribe? Does an optometrist only their optometric equipment to diagnose certain diseases? What is dental school clinic like (3rd and 4th year)?
