What GPA is calculated?

Do optometry schools calculate overall GPA, including classes that aren't transferable? i go to a community college right now, but transferring soon, i took a lot of classes that wont count towards my GPA at the UC's i plan on applying to, so would they also not count towards my optometry GPA? any insight on this would be great because my overall GPA isn't that great right now, its a 2.9, but my uc transferable gpa is currently at a 3.3. Thank you

They will ask for transcripts from both your schools. It depends on the (opto)schools and if your prereqs are taken at cc or uc and if they translate into prereq creds. You're best off calling your fav schools and asking, of course.
