I want to retake the DAT in october, one of my friends told me that I should not send the application fee until maybe close to october because schools wants money now and they will reject me based on my results now if I send the fee now, he said if I wait then they will not touch my application until they get the fee, is that true or they will disregared my application, please help?, and on the other sid i truly dont have all that money for the fees, im waiting until fall to get a loan, help.

This is my first time applying, but my friend last year was in a similar situation as you are now. She send her secondary application to Nova and as soon as they got her money boom!!! rejection. They had her application for about 3 month couldn't they make their decision early...... probably yes, but they were waiting for the money!!!!!

def. wait til u get ur new scores. I would try to maybe take it earlier, late august or early sept. if you can. The earlier, the better. And yes, schools will wait for your money then reject you if you were going to be rejected anyway. Ive heard many stories. One guy applied to some school on the east coast (can't remember) and they told him later they don't take out-of-state applicants AFTER he sent his $50. So he asked for the money back in vain. If you sent in your aadsas already with a note saying you are going to retake it, then they will hold it until they receive your new scores.
