Hey guys 🙂

I took this EMT class at UCLA during my sophomore year and got an A in it. I've been working as an EMT for a little over a year now. I've listed on my AMCAS work/activities that I took the class and where I have been working. I called UCLA and it's such a hassle to get my transcript from there and send it to AMCAS. What would happen if I didn't send my transcript? It's part of their pre health professionals classes. Kinda like an occupation center ish. Does it really matter?

thanks in advance for your responses!

MUST SEND - NO WIGGLE-ROOM WHATSOEVER REGARDLESS OF THE INCONVENIENCE.

Thanks for replying! But I don't even get any credit for it. How will they ever find out? What would happen?

IF they do, it's academic dishonesty which doesn't fare well in medical school. It's a near certain dismissal or degree revocation.

Did you list it in the academic work section? If not, it doesn't need to be sent. If yes, then it needs to be sent otherwise your application will never be verified.

so you're saying if I didn't list it as one of the courses I took, and didn't input a grade or anything like that, I won't need to send it in? And if I don't even mention that I took the EMT class at UCLA and just say that I worked as an EMT, I won't need to send in the transcript?

Do you really want to avoid this "hassle" of sending it in and risk having your application thrown out / ignored? You've gone this far already. Don't be lazy. Just send the damn thing in.

If it's not on the academic work section, it doesn't need a transcript. The true question is should it be listed in the academic work section? I would call AAMC regarding this before taking an unnecessary risk.

ok thanks for your input! I'll definitely call. 🙂
