One of the schools I applied gave me 4 essays to write. Three of them were easy for me to answer, but there was one that made me to spend several weeks writing it. I also got some help from my friend who is an expert writer. As the result, the essay became far superior to other three in terms of word choices, sentence structure, and even content. If Adcoms notice the differences between my essays and assume that I got help from other people, how would they view me? oh and what if the way I speak (having English as my second) is vastly different than the way I write?

I think its expected that most people get their PS read and slightly edited by other people; the only problem is when the essay was majorly written by someone else. As for differences in writing, I think adcoms can look at your MCAT essays and compare them to your PS, which will take care of your other concern. Even native English-speakers do not speak the same way they write, by the way 🙂

Really? Or do you mean "yeah, this seems like the work of someone who scored an R"?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe adcoms can access the essay you wrote? I thought that was the main point of the essay, in addition to seeing how you wrote.

I thank you for assuring the point that most essays are edited, but I know that the sole purpose of MCAT essay in admission is to be used as a tiebreaker. I scored Q despite writing terribly endlessly providing examples and arguments without polishing.

It is not used as a tiebreaker. It is used for nothing.

Oh yeah? Who told you that?
