Lets say you are accepted to an unaccredited school, and it eventually fails the accreditation process?

Are you left with 30k in the hole and scurrying to find another school? Or do classes continue until the last accepted class graduates? Also, will those students be able to receive a license despite their graduation from a now defunct school?

No, you will not be able to get a license unless you graduate from an accredited school. That school, I am pretty sure, is forced to close its doors as soon as it fails the accreditation process, unless it is given time to meet said standards... sdn1977 might know more about this?

If that schools fails to attain candidate status, you will not be able to practice pharmacy in any jurisdiction in the United States. You will still be liable for the debt incurred from attending that school. Basically, the school will shut down, and as a student, your best bet is to cut your losses and stop attending/paying tuition and start the application process over again (no matter what year you are stuck at).

This happened to a friend's former coworker, she was one year into the program at the now defunct HICP when it was denied status. A lawsuit was filed and a $30,000 judgement was entered in her favor.

But hey, OJ had a $30M judgement against him, and he hasn't paid a dime. You can guess where I'm going with this.

every single school that has become preaccredited has become fully accredited. A school can get candidate status in it's second year of existence and then you will be eligible to take the board exam. just make sure that school is pre-candidate accreditation status.

I will sue the school for 1 million dollars😀. Just kidding.
