What happens when you "Update Application" on AACOMAS

So, what happens when you add new achievements or extracurricular activities on your AACOMAS and update application? Do the school gets a notification that they need to re-download the primary app from AACOMAS? Do schools get no notification because they download the most recent application when they read your app? What happens to the schools you already applied to versus the new schools that you add?

There isn't much information about this online or from AACOMAS and I wanted to know what happens when I update my AACOMAS app.

I don't know. I added some activities forever ago and hit update, and assumed it sent an updated version to the schools. I'm not 100% sure though.

I believe admissions departments gets an email that your application has been updated. I had called about my academic update and a school said they got an email about an extracurricular I added. I'm assuming each school has a different process in how they review completed applications, but you can assume that if you update something school's will make it part of your application for the review process.

So, it's, essentially, a "school-by-school" basis, unfortunately. Some schools will update your app with the AACOMAS updates while some schools refuse.
I called PCOM and they said that updates from AACOMAS while some other schools (like NYCOM, Ohio, LECOM) said that they automatically update your app.
Yeah, it sucks. I wish schools were a little bit more forward about their policies. Or AACOMAS should just get rid of it all together.

Yeahhh. Note to self: Do not log onto SDN when returning from a cultural gathering at 3AM.
Let's try that again:
So, apparently, PCOM doesn't accept any updates you send them via AACOMAS (unless it's a new MCAT or new grades). I think there are other schools, like Touro-CA that also follow this rule.
Some schools, like NYCOM, LECOM, Ohio, RVU, automatically update your file with your new AACOMAS application.
