Yes, you work hard, but you're paid well. Can discuss with you in private if you like.
We are growing and have never lost a contract. We gave one up a long time ago due to physicians not happy with reimbursement at the hospital. I believe we added 8 hospitals last year.
Regarding being democratic, you basically are an independent contractor. You work within your own group for a particular health system/hospital, but you don't vote on Apollo operations unless you own shares in the company. However, Apollo general operations really don't have anything to do with local operations at your particular hospital.
Like anything in life, it's not all roses. There are downsides (you'll work harder than most places), but at least you're rewarded for working harder. Work hard, play hard.
