Does anyone know what happens if you start Step 1 but get sick or freak out during the test and don't finish it? I know you don't record a score, but I am wondering if you have to pay the whole fee again and if you have to wait to reshedule.

no once you begin the test (begin = pressing the start button) you DO record a score. if you leave in the middle you fail (depending on whether or not you have completed enough questions right to pass or not before you leave). then you re-register and take it again. that's what the proctor told us before we took ours.

That's interesting. I got my info from the beginning of First Aid. It says if you don't complete the test you don't record a score, but it does record that you took it. Obviously the proctor would know though. Thanks.

I was briefed by the proctor with similar information. Not finishing Step 1= notation of non-completion with the recording of a score.
