I might sound like an ignorant dumb@$$, but what is a DO?? I mean what are the differences between a DO and an MD? I never heard of a DO and I am very curious...thanks

This is a really good question and I never really see good answers to it.

I too would like to know what exactly it is that DOs do.

And you are the most intelligent person I have met on here! I will be glad to work with you in the future. Hope you don't get hit by that ego of yours.

Read the information on the websites posted by other replies to your question. Go to www.aacom.org (it's the national association for osteopathic medicine) and you'll find specific information and links to each of the D.O. schools in the country. When you read all that information and you have specific questions, don't hesitate to ask.

It's hard to believe that in this day and age there's people out there that have never heard of an optometrist. Haven't you ever had your vision checked by a D.O.?

why are we feeding the troll!!!!!!

...to top it off, his name is instigata

I thought a DO is a doc who got a 23 on the MCAT...(sorry, it's a joke)

they're bone doctors duh!? They're just under a chiropractor and they can only practice under supervision of a chiropractor. omg I swear some people don't know anything. (I am considering becoming DO (and I am sure my MCAT will be over 23 😉))
