I know being on the wait list is better than receiving rejection letter. Is there such a thing as a rejection letter?
Does wait list means all seats are taken and some one must decline a seat so they can offer it? Could it be like the canidate is not strong enough so they place it on the wait list while there are avalible seats?

**** First, they make you wait for the interview. Then, they make you wait some more after the interview. They put u on the wait list and make you wait some more. lastly, they send out a rejection letter. The cruel way of playing with your mind *******

We all should make the schools wait till the last day to cough up the tuition $$$.

A rejection letter is a definite NO. After the school sends out their acceptance letters some students may reject the acceptance to go somewhere else or not go at all. This allows a spot for the person who is on top of the alternate list. i dont know how many people they allow on the alternate list but i have heard people being accepted after school has started. It also may improve your chances of bieng accepted the next year if you reapply
