hi, everyone. Nice to meet u all here🙂
Could anyone kindly do me a faver?
I search the offical website of UNMC and find out their requirment of Advanced Standing Program for international foreign trained dentist shows " The College of Dentistry requires all foreign trained dentists to complete an accredited postdoctoral program before attending the College of Dentistry." I really don't know what is " an accredited postdoctoral program" and how can I complete it?

Ps: I got my Bachelar of Medine in 2008 and Master of Medicine/ Clinical Science of Stomatology in 2011 in Shanghai, China. I finally made decision to go aboard and try to apply dental school in US last year after graduation. I have never been to US ever before where is my ideal place to make my dream come true. All the information i got are come from forum and offical website of Universitues. To date, I know that i have to take NBDE part1 and TOEFL and try to get high scores. Is there any other exams or materails I have to prepare?

Hello, im currently in shanghai also but im moving to US soon.
for all the schools' advanced standing program you'll need a toefl score and a part 1 score to apply. some schools also need your part 2 score. after complete the program you'll receive a DDS/DMD degree.
post-doctoral is a specialty program. like ortho, perio, ped, prostho, gpr, aegd etc.
these two programs are different and they applied differently also. you can go to www.adea.org and it have all the information about how to apply to these programs and you can apply from there.
for NBDE the studying materials are dental decks, mosby's, first aid, kaplan, old exam q's.

i just want to pursue DDS degree. Are you preparing for NBDE part1 now? i wonder whether can i share dental decks if u have? I have already brought first aid which i can share with u.

im studying my nbde part 2 right now.
i have old part 1 dental decks. i believe it is yr 2004. i have it in soft copy but its not in shanghai rite now. and it is still too large to email.
