I think I might be able to submit my primary by the first week of June, but I want spend a few extra weeks working on my PS. If I submit by mid-June, would that still be considered early? How about late June? My stats are decent (3.3-3.4 and 31 MCAT) but I also want to apply to the more competitive DO schools. By what date should I apply at the latest?

Earliest is obviously as soon as you can in June, but a general rule of thumb would be before the end of July.

I stole this from the WAMC forums, but being complete (primary, secondaries, mcat) all in before Sept 1st is "early." But yes, as soon as possible is always best.

Yea, I think Aug/Sept is considered early, but asap is best. You want to apply as early as possible, not just "early."

I plan on submitting on the first of June, assuming that's when AACOMAS opens.
