what is first aid good for...

Which topics from 1st aid are good enough for Step 1?

I know that for Path and Physio I would need BRS.

But what about

- behavioral sci
- biochem
- micro and immuno
- pharm
- anatomy

- Pharm: First Aid's enough
- Behavioral: First Aid's enough (maybe supplement with BRS)
- Biochem: Supplement with HY Cell and Molecular Bio and/or Kaplan's stuff and/or Lippincott's
- Micro: Supplement with CMMRS
- Immuno: Supplement with the immuno in Lange's book by Levinson
- Anatomy: Some say FA's enough, some say don't bother with more because it's low yield, and some say supplement with HY Anatomy and/or Moore's blue boxes

Also, I'd like to make another pitch for Kaplan Biochem. Its really, really good and much more high yield than Lippencott. Check out the Lange Pathcards too if you have time. They're great to use at the gym on your "study breaks". 😉

What's the best way to go about getting Kaplan Biochem (ebay, ask around, etc.)?

Asking around may cost you money when someone decides to "help you out". emule has almost everything for step 1 prep including kaplan biochem. Now if only someone would add more webprep lectures besides the webprep pathology lectures. 🙄

Did anyone use an immunology book for step 1...because CMMRS is lacking in immuno.

cool website viper....i can't believe they actually endorse goljan. i could've used this website earlier on in my prep to find out about him instead of searching and searching for answers on different forums. just to add to the discussion i read MMRS and Levinson's micro once and then switched to microcards. they're great!! i don't have to waste anymore time on micro cause i take these basically everywhere i go and flip thru them whenever i have a chance. this is great cause it gives me more time to focus on other things. i tried Lange's path cards by baron but wasn't impressed. shouldn't have wasted my money
