hmmm, if i remember from ap chem, that should be the integrated rate law for 1st order reactions.

so if u were to look it up, look under "integrated rate laws" or "rate laws"

I've seen it more commonly written as ln([A]final/[A]initial)=-kt

[A] describes [A]final/[A]initial (where [A] is the concentration of a given reactant)

k describes the reaction rate constant. in this case, since its negative k, it is safe to assume that concentration decreased as time increases (hence the negative slope).


t=time elapsed

if you are given [A]final, [A] initial, and time elapsed, u should be able to find the constant k (rate reaction constant)

in regard to its prevalence on the DAT, i have no idea. im not even in college yet 😛.
