what is the best retail store to work for?

Kroger has a drive thru and they are a grocery store

yep. its less volume with grocery stores. however, u really have to spend time to learn their software. -_-O another minus is, are they hiring?

Rite Aid is pretty good. I've worked for CVS and I wouldn't ever recommend them. Have also worked for an independent, I would've continued to work there if they hadn't closed.

I heard from a new grad buddy that his cvs offer was 120k and the rite aid offer was 95k.

I'm kinda glad mine is 120k from Walmart (neighborhood market), but it's a bit of a drive very day for me. But it's better than not having a job at all

I hear better things about Target and Walgreens than I do about CVS and Rite Aid, but I can't speak too much in this aspect as I have not had an intern job, just rotations. I did a target IPPE in 2010 and I really enjoyed it-the pharmacists were great and friendly and really helped me learn, the environment was not too overwhelming and they really took time to help the patients out in the aisles too for OTC meds. This was in 2010 and I just did an APPE in 2013. While I think the script count was still not as overwhelming as say CVS or Rite-Aid, I really the environment was increasingly tense which was reflected by the behavior of the pharmacists as well and I've heard it's becoming more or less worse. lol. I hear good things about independent chains, grocery chains, I guess the script count is pretty manageable.
