I am slated to graduate from my undergrad program in Spring 2008. However, I want to apply to med school this cycle, not next year's cycle. I surfed several school websites and I noticed that lots of school minimums are 90 credits, but suggest having a degree to be competitive. if I will have my degree done before I class up for med school, am I seen as someone with a degree or someone with only 90 credit hours at the time of my interview/invite process?

You'd be seen as someone with a degree. Most people haven't been graduated when they apply and go through the interview process, but acceptance often hinges on completion of the program they are currently working on.

Take that 90 credit bit with a HUGE grain of salt. No place wants students ditching a degree program in order to matriculate, and that includes graduate programs. It really means 90+ credits and a huge amount of life experience that a normal aged undergrad wouldn't have. It's just there to give them leeway in rather extreme circumstances.

Just a side thought, but it would be throwing money away if you apply this cycle, as in starting school the fall of '08. For this cycle its past the deadline for most if not all med schools. Get geared up and apply early in june for next cycle

I definitely agree. Applying this year would be a colossal waste of time, effort, and money.

Yeah. If you start working now on your recommendation letters and personal statement, you'd have a chance to apply EARLY next cycle, IE this June. As for the PAST cycle, you are way too late.
