What is the Ksp of BaCl2 ???

That's all I want to know. Because in topscore test 1 question 65 they say the answer is: [Ba2+][Cl2-] but I chose [Ba2+][Cl-]^2 which is what I believe to be the correct answer, np?
 
I agree with your answer. I think Topscore made a mistake on that question. How come in the correct answer from topscore, the chlorine atom has a negative charge of 2? Don't halogens have a "-1" charge?

That's what I've known to be the case this whole time. Let's hope it is a mistake on their part, and if it's not then somebody really needs to explain how a halogen ended up with a 2- charge...
 
hmm that's weird, because my topscore shows [B2+][Cl-]^2 as the correct answer!

Well that's even weirder ( 😀 ) because I just downloaded my topscore program last night so it's not like I have an old version.....Hmmmm....

yea lazerous..i was just about to post the same question. my top score says the same answer as your! wtf!
 
I know exactly what u r talking about. I took that test and it graded me wrong also for the same answer. I am pretty sure they made a mistake.
