What is the mechanism of cephalosporins increasing the nephrotoxicity of aminoglycosides?

I have not been able to find a mechanism explaining this phenomenon that isn't behind a paywall. Does anyone have the answer to this?

My guess is reduced secretion , since all these antibiotics compete for secretion in PCT

I think cephalosporins are also associated with interstitial nephritis. Competing for secretion makes sense as well.

They are both drugs that are given multiple times a day have short half lives, so they are processed by the p450 enzyme in the kidney, increasing your risk of nephrotoxicity!

Posterior convoluted tubule will usually be the first part of the nephron to be damaged, correct.
