Why just from a nurse perspective? Check out the WHO reports.

You mean besides paying for it?

Are you asking about a single health problem, or are you referring to wider issues?

IME the biggest problem I face every day is a lack of patient belief/participation in primary prevention, and ultimately, the lack of individual accountability.

Well, there are many, and I tend to think that health care issues are cyclical. Twenty years ago, AIDS was the major health care issue. Ten years ago, smoking was the HUGE concern. It was everywhere - in politics, in health care campaigns, etc. Now, obesity and childhood obesity seem to be the trend. What will be next? 😕

poor nutrition, unclean water sources, differential access to healthcare and inability to pay for medications/vaccinations, delayed disgnosis of illness, etc all have their roots in poverty.
