what method you use for Bio?

I use Kaplan to review and destroyer to practice but I don't do well. I notice that what I read and what the questions about are quite different. Most of the time, the question is sooooo detail about something that I don't remember it is covered in the book. Anyway, how do you study for bio? what materials do you use? what method do you use? read then practice or practice then read??? Thank you so much in advance.

understanding gets you a long way compared to memorizing. just from my experience. you could get a question that you know but not worded in a way that would trigger the answer from memorization.

When you do destoryer, don't just check off the right and wrong answers, read and study the solution!
It'll give you so much information you need for the test.

Thank you so much for your help. Hope I can do better. I also heard that Barron's AP chemistry and biology are useful, have anyone used them yet? What you think?
