Uh...Was I supposed to send money?

1) Am I supposed to send out the application/processing fees to each individual school BEFORE they contact me? I just looked on the supplementary materials list on AADSAS and it says to send the payment to the school the same time that you send the AADSAS app, which I didn't... Have I delayed my processing?

2) Should I fax my DAT scores to the schools? or just wait for them to receive it?

3) For the letters of rec I sent 2 science and 1 professional. I know each school is different, but the other thread said it's supposed to be 3 science? can someone help cause if it's 3 science I need to find one more prof... FAST!

THANKS A BUNCH!

1. For the schools mentioned in the AADSAS application materials that require an fee along with the application ? yes Do it. I waited month and a half for every school and I got postcards from some and nothing from others. So go ahead and send the application fee. The only school you should NOT do this for is Temple University School of Dentistry cuz they get mad and they?ll return you check. Also send a cover letter with your check stating your SS and AADSAS number so they don?t mess it.
2. According to my experience some schools don?t mind it and others do. Check individually for each school. You can usually find this on their web.
3. Each school is individual again. I sent 3 science and 2 professional to AADSAS and I?ll let them figure it.

1. Send those fees to every school as soon as you submit AADSAS. If they don't like that, then they'll send the check back. It's much better for them to have the stuff early than to delay your application because you haven't paid.

2. Schools receive your DAT scores electronically within 48 hours of you taking the exam. To be more specific, they receive access to your scores. Therefore, faxing the scores isn't really necessary, since they DO have access to them online. Check with the school though, since some do employ people who are inept at using online sources. ALL scores are available through the AADSAS Client, though.

3. I think your LORs are fine. 2 science and one professional isn't a problem. Schools typically aren't sticklers when it comes to this. They just want three quality letters.

Good luck!

Actually schools are pretty tight when it comes to LOR's.

Last July I sent 4 letters, two from dentists I have worked with, one from a previous employer, and one from a science professor. 80% of the schools I applied to would not even consider me for an interview until the 2nd science LOR was received.

With respect to DAT scores, I would recommend you fax all the schools your own report. I took my DAT on Sep 27 which was already late. Today is october 8. I called a couple of schools today and they still haven't recieve my grades. However, When I called the DAT office, they told me that they have mailed the scores to the schools on october 2.
today when I called U of michigan, the lady told me that it might take up to 6 weeks for the scores to get to them and I would better fax the scores as soon as possible.😱
