 I use this exact site's link in my intro class.

I am an ENFP. I have taken this test probably ten times and I am always an ENFP unless I am feeling sad and I am an INFP, but that has only happened a few times.

The test is extremely accurate for me.

How about you, TfC?

I'm a pretty rare one, ENTJ. It fits incredibly well, though when I took it this time I was barely T, which is unusual since its generally one of my more dominant characteristics.

It explains why I'm usually the one who ends up organizing/directing things🙂

I'm an INFJ. When I first took some form of the type indicator test back in college I was greatly surprised at how accurate the description was. I seem to reliably get the same result whenever I take it, too.

INFJ mother-truckers! lol. fits me like a glove.

INFP
22...62...12...22

I'm not as much of an idealist as the description, but in general the Healer Idealist I guess fits, considering the job outlook is pretty much what I'm doing. It did fail to take in account my rather cut throat ideas from business...but no one is perfect!

Intj... Mastermind. I like the sound of that ;-)

Ha, I found that when I was writing a paper on the Myers-Briggs. I'm also an INTJ. Masterminds unite! 😀

I usually score as an ENTP and I selected ENTP on the poll and then saw the first post with the link -- and scored as an ENFP! 😕

I am a:
  • moderately expressed extravert
  • distinctively expressed intuitive personality
  • moderately expressed feeling personality
  • moderately expressed perceiving personality

I know I've always been on the border between T and F (I'm also female which usually tips the scales -- most Ts are men and most Fs are women, and it's difficult to be a T woman...). It's also possible that I'm becoming more F than before... 😀

I've also been pinned as a Planning P. I like to plan, but bad at follow-through on plans. Nothing in the world can make me an SJ...

I'm ENFJ too! 22-75-25-1. Not sure how the judgmental part fits though, although I'm glad it's a 1. Would really hate to be judging in any way.

Actually we're slightly different (T vs. F), but close enough.

The J isn't necessarily a bad thing and doesn't mean "judgmental". Its more just referring to decisiveness, picking a goal and striving towards it without veering off the path. Downside being that you miss things along the way of course.

Interestingly, based on my personality profile, I should be the worst therapist in history. Really, read the ENTJ profile. Its like the anti-therapist.

Guess its good I'm more interested in academia🙂

Mine is great for a therapist, but it sure stinks for business....which is what I want the majority of my day to be....I guess I'll have to just win over the suits with hugs and positive affirmations!

That sounds like a plan.

I guess I'm going to yell at my clients until they correct their mental imperfections.

INFJ, except for once when I got INTJ (and was so happy!) There seem to be a lot of INTJs in this forum, actually... and a distinct lack of anything "S"!

infj

the description seemed pretty accurate to me. self-reports are notoriously questionable, though!!

Yay for the ENFPs. Its funny tho, because I grew up in a house where everyone else (mother, father, and brother) were I's. And my brother is the exact opposite of me, an ISTJ.

I grew up in a family of J's. Actually-- I don't know what they were. They were a bunch of jerks and still are-- they thought that narcissism was "cute." I have a lot of J friends who keep me grounded.

The ultimate ENFP motto is, "There's no problem-- only solutions." I don't know what John Lennon was, though.

ENFJ: 33 62 38 11
  • moderately expressed extrovert
  • distinctively expressed intuitive personality
  • moderately expressed feeling personality
  • slightly expressed judging personality
Mostly the same as it ever was ... though sometimes I'll score an "I." I used to be a solid "P," but I suppose I've become more judgmental in my old age ...

I have never took the test before. Today it yields ENTJ:
  • slightly expressed extravert (LOL)
  • distinctively expressed intuitive personality (thats true)
  • slightly expressed thinking personality (LOL)
  • moderately expressed judging personality (whatever that means 🙂 )
To take this really seriously, one should take the test at least 5 times, under various moods, in my opinion.

🙂

*bump for the new people*

I am always the same... LOL, ENTP. LOL, I answered the opposite to all the questions and got ISFJ! Therefore I must be an ENTP. Normally I am a moderately expressed E, and strongly expressed NTP, extremely so...

Mark

I'm INTJ, and it looks like a fair percentage of other forum members are too. Makes sense to me! 🙂

Guess I'm the oddball of the bunch...I'm an ISFJ!

Do experts really still use this? Isn't the big five better?

I just had a professor rant on and on about the lack of validity for this test.

ISTJ, although I didn't vote just in case the poll was intended specifically for those in clinical psychology. As you can see, I'm visiting from the Pharmacy Forum, a couple forums north. 🙂

To the OP (Therapist4Chnge), I want to thank you for posting this interesting poll. And, I hope you don't mind but I stole it and posted in the Pharmacy Forum. 😉 We've got 30+ votes so far, and it seems INTJ is so far the most common type in the pharmacy forum, similar to the results here.

I'm a ENTJ too.

For a type that is supposed to be only about 2 percent of the population, there are sure a few of us on this board (at least 4 or 5 so far).

Yay, planning control freaks! 😀

I have to give some of the credit to 'Sazi and the Psychiatry Forum, as I 'borrowed' it from there, and they would give credit to another sub-forum, as they 'borrowed' it from them. 😀

I'm so amazed to see that there are so many INTJs here.
I thought intjs are supposed to be rare.
Well.. so happy to see many many companions!!!😀

ISFP

  • distinctively expressed introvert
  • moderately expressed sensing personality
  • slightly expressed feeling personality
  • slightly expressed perceiving personality
🙄 I've taken this before and am pretty sure I've never gotten that result! Always an "I", for sure, but the others seem to vary. lol. Whatever, maybe depends on my mood at the time. I think I am secretly more impulsive and impatient, but have it ingrained in to me to apply to reason and do everything right and rigid, so sometimes I go with the more rational answers.

aaah who knows!

I was ENFJ-

You are:
moderately expressed extravert

moderately expressed intuitive personality

distinctively expressed feeling personality

slightly expressed judging personality

What the heck is "judging" personality? I never thought of myself as judgemental!

what does that mean?

I am sooooooooo INFJ it ain't funny. Every time I take it or one of the variants such as the Keirsey I come up INFJ. While the Myers Brigs has some major limitations since it is a typology, the descriptions of INFJ just seem to fit me spot on. Of course, it could be an example of the Barnum effect

Hey! I am one of the RARE ESTJ's in the field of Psych! When i took the test initially in undergrad it spit out a sheet suggesting I look into becoming a judge, probation officer, or prosecuting attorney. 8 years later I am still an ESTJ, married to an INFP for 13 years and gettin my Dr. in Psych.... Odd huh?Who knew? ..... Ha!

Thought I'd pull this thread back up for a little fun!

ENFP

E = 19
N = 13
F = 1
P = 6

I voted INTJ, because that's the rating I usually get when I do it. Today I took the test again and got INFJ, and I think that one's more accurate.

Considering that INFJs are supposedly the rarest type, I think we either have some sampling error or measurement error at work here.

I've taken this a million times, and it's always the same: ENFP. The only changes are in the degree of expression, with one exception. The P never budges ;-)
  • slightly expressed extravert
  • distinctively expressed intuitive personality
  • slightly expressed feeling personality
  • very expressed perceiving personality

Me too, ENTJ

always an INFJ

  • moderately expressed introvert
  • distinctively expressed intuitive personality

I'm also an ENTJ, along with Equestriann, JackD, and a few others.

[*] Impatient with inefficiency and incompetence
[*] Want things structured and orderly
    [*] Excellent verbal communication skills
    [*] Dislike routine, detail-oriented tasks
