What Postbac programs guarantee admissions upon completion? Does such a post bac even exist. If so what schools and what are the details of the program?

I don't even know if something like that exists. I don't think any program can gaurentee something like that. I know schools like Goucher and Bryn Mawr have very good matriculation rates but also are very tough to get into and make you work your butt off once you're in. Ultimately, only you can decide where you go though....

actually there are a few post bac/SMPs that guarantee you admission upon completion of the program. Those are th types of programs that I am looking for. So for I have found (and thank amcas.org for this):

- Loyola University Chicago Masters in Medical Sciences

(this one you should request more informatiom from or really navigate the site...they have an accelerated acceptance for a small number of students to RWJMS)

- Temple University Advanced Core in Medical Sciences Program

(you should contact the school and ask them for more information, but they do guarantee you admission to their medical school if you maintain a certain GPA/MCAT score)

There are more...and I say navigate through the http://services.aamc.org/postbac/GetProgs.cfm and you can find some. A lot of these programs can guarantee you accelerated acceptances if you maintain a certain GPA/MCAT. However, not all of them do. And the number that do, are extremely competitive. So hopefully this all helps. Good luck searching!!

oh and I must mention, the programs that I have listed above...require that you have taken the pre-reqs for medical school. The list that AMCAS provides has all types of programs, from ones who have not done any science work to those that do.

I've already looked on the websites and I was wondering which ones that have high linkages or conditional acceptances eliminate the gap year? What's the deal with their timing?

Most of them do and the timing is pretty strange too. For example, TCOM's conditions are separate among the semesters and the time they give you to decide is a lot but at the same time, you can still independently match with them through TMDSAS, at least, that's what I think. It's pretty complicated and some of the schools don't want to hold seats unnecessarily until they see some post-bac students that they don't want to let go.
