What questions do you ask when you visit a medical school?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I asked my interviewers if they had anything to say to the peoples of SDN in terms of advice or what type of student they're looking for. You know, things they'd like to say but haven't. 😀

All of my interviews went over on time so when they asked if I had any questions they kept one eye on the clock, giving me the impression I needed to make it quick. I've asked questions directly relevant to my application..."Is it a great disadvantage to be interviewing this late?", "Has the school already filled its seats?", etc...

Ask about research opportunities, mentoring programs, new academic programs, dual degree admissions, etc. More importantly, ask a question you actually want to know the answer to (that can't be answered by a cursory glance through the interviewee packet or school website), rather than something you just think the adcom will find insightful. Interviewers have finely tuned BS detectors and tell a meaningful question from a throwaway.
