Hey guys,

I’m pretty new to the dental school admission process. I was wondering what schools do you guys recommend me to apply? Is there any school ranking that I can see that would help me decide where to apply?

Also how are the LOR sent? Are they sent directly to the schools or through a centralized system? I’m kinda confused about that.

What are your GPA and DAT scores?
What state are you a residence of?
Are you a minority?

Yes, the LOR's are sent to a clearinghouse which sends out to all schools. They can be sent through snail mail or through email by your professors.

Have you taken the DAT? If you haven't even started studying for it, I may say that applying this year might be a little late, at least for some schools. Getting LOR's take a lot of time, too. Have you shadowed a dentist? Many schools require it to even apply and most won't take you seriously if you don't have it. Good luck
