So my GPA right now is around 3.3/3.4 range and i plan to take my DAT on april 8th. I'm getting really nervous that i'm not ready. I really want to get a good enough score to where i stand a strong chance of gaining admission in dental school. I was just wondering what you guys think a good DAT score would be with my gpa to be considered a strong candidate. For practice right now I have been doing datQvault, crack the dat (pat section), and i have gone through DAT destroyer. and i will take a topscore practice test this weekend. i was just wondering for those of you that have already taken your DAT. what scores were you guys getting on the following practice material and what did you end up getting on the actual DAT!?

Mcoope44, I have no idea what the avg. GPA is for int. applicants but a 3.85 sounds like it would be just fine.

Well you should aim for a perfect score. It's not realistic, but don't try to aim for a low 20 score. You're only setting yourself up to not give it 100% in your studies.

But you should be pleased if you score a 20+. 🙂

lol... you CAN'T aim for a DAT score... you study (do ur best at it) and hope to get an exam version with questions related to ur background

I aimed for a 30 and got a 24. Still pretty bummed out about that.

For your GPA, getting a 21 or more will give you the best shot for acceptance.
