what should i do

i just got rejected from BU. i am in my fifth year now and i did horrible in my last semester with a 3.1 gpa and then this semester i took only one course because i thought i was going to get surgery but that didnt end up happening.

my question is this. should i do my 9 unit thesis in the summer along with a 6 unit english and 6 unit physics and then next term out of the 9 unit thesis 3 is carried over to the semester and doing 3 upper year bios with it

or should i be safe and do the masters and then rip it 2 years from now.

my gpa is only 3.07 and BU was my only interview. i suffered largely in my undergraduate due to a bilateral hip impingement and had to change my athletic lifestyle around but they didnt buy that lol.

Yea I don't know how your Dee ats are but unless you're rocking a 23AA I think your best bet is to do the masters and then reapply.

i got 21 in everything except 22 in orgo and 20 in quantitative

Wow that is too bad you got rejected, you have a high DAT score. When did you apply? When was your interview? Your GPA isn't the best but its not that bad...especially since you have a good DAT score.. Did you have a good personal statement?

Well in that case, apply really early like first day. Even though your gpa sucks, I think if you apply to 15+ schools and have solid recs, p.s, ecs, and rock the interview you should get atleast one acceptance.

im doing my thesis this summer. along with that im going to retake the dat for the aim of gettin 23. thats it. im getting it no matter what. the thesis will allow me to have a good LOR from a prof and some good experience. on top of that, doing well in the thesis would improve my gpa. im 9 credits from a bio degree and so doing that instead of completing my life science would also look better. the 6 english and 6 physics course along with the 9 units i plan to take during the year means that by the time 2010 starts il have done 30 units in the span. thats equivalent to two semesters. now that i know i have no option but til rip it, i hope my gpa improvement will reflect my effort. i already have 2000 hrs of experience at a clinic under my belt and my dad is a dentist.

did they ask you in your interview why it took so long to graduate undergrad? if not, they probably will in your next one, so make sure you have a decent answer for that
