Im in my second semester doing pre-pharmacy.
My schedule this semester is
chem 102
bio 101
Trig
English

last semester was
chem 101
History
English
Coll. Algebra.

This summer I was planning on taking classes over the summer (precalculus and Economics) but my mom just asked if I wanted to go with her back to my native country meaning I won't be able to take those summer classes. I really want to finish this prerequisites as quick as possible but I am torn between the two choices. Do you think taking those 2 classes in the summer will dramatically speed up my progress towards completing my prerequisites?.
Also, she told me that if i stayed home and take classes, i get to get my teeth done lol (braces).

precalc- 4 credits
economics- 3 credits

WHICH OPTION SHOULD I DO?

It is too late to add econ and I have 16 credits this semester and I work about 14 hours a week.

I don't know how many hours you're taking by the course numbers, but I would assume it's in the neighborhood of 12 to 15. You can take those two classes over the next two semesters and go to your home country. When is the next opportunity you will have to visit? I think the decision is more up to you in how important it is to you to go home because you can get those classes done in a regular semester. The braces can be done when you get back, it's just a couple months later.

is it too late for you to add into econ this semester? you are taking a light load unless you are also working. also, unless you have you have your whole prereq plan mapped out start to finish, you won't know if adding classes at certain points will potentially save you an application cycle or not

That really depends on everything else that you have to take.

Map out all of the pre-requisites for the schools you want to apply, and then you can see clearly if taking the two summer courses will get you a semester ahead or just stay the same.
