Hi all,
I would love some advice on what I should do for the next academic year. I will be graduating this June from a UC. My overall GPA is 3.3 and sci GPA is the same (upward trend the last 2 years). I have some research/clinical experience and will continue that whatever I do (at least over the summer). I have not taken the MCAT yet. I will study for it over the summer and take it in August/September preferably.
My question is what I should do next year? I was originally planning to do a Masters, but have heard those to be minimally beneficial for medical school admissions enhancement. I would like to do an SMP, but have not taken the MCAT yet and don't want to take it without being fully prepared for it.
Should I do an informal post-bacc instead of a basic masters program? Is there any formal post-bacc programs that don't require an MCAT score? I have lots of credits during my undergraduate years though (around 200). Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

With 200 credits, a post-bac prob won't move your GPA in any meaningful way. Do the calculation to see what one year at 3.7 would do to your cGPA.

But I think you'll need graduate level work
