I have a cumilative GPA of 2.9 science GPA 3.01. I did quite well my freshman and junior year. This also includes 2 classes I had to retake. I had family trouble sophomore year so my GPA took a nose dive. I don't know what happened senior year. My GPA was horrible but not as bad as sophomore year. Most of the time I was taking 5 classes at once and holding a job. I got a really low score of 18 on my MCAT. I don't know why I did it, probably just the adernaline rush, but I applied to medical schools senior year and of course got rejected. I hadn't known about post bac yet. I then applied to both UCSF and UCLA post bac and got rejected from both. This year I applied to UCSF, UCLA, UCI, UCD and UCR. So far I've been rejected from UCSF, UCI, and UCD. I've pretty much concluded that I've been rejected from UCLA. I have UCR hanging on a thread so I'm not getting my hopes up.
I have since taken MCAT courses to get my score up and I'm making progress. I just haven't taken the MCAT again yet.
So what should my next step be. Should I retake the MCAT and apply for post bac again or should I just apply for post bac again next year?
