ok, so im in the "on hold" category post interview at Downstate. Can someone please tell me what this means?

Me too...kinda weird since I thought my interview went well. My interviewer even told me I looked very "confident" but he was a psychiatrist so now I think he may have been playing mind games. In any case,I plan on withdrawing soon so it doesn't really matter for me but good luck to you.

Btw...I am an out of stater and I would have thought that that would not hurt me post-interview but maybe that had something to do with it. I really have no clue and was kinda surprised with this one but it doesnt really matter in the end since I don't wanna go there.

oh wait...they waitlisted me

YO, do a search man...I've responded to this question like 3 times in past few months.

wow, is it just me or is every interviewer at downstate a psychiatrist? on my day, all three of us who interviewered after lunch had psychiatrists and a family member who interviewed earlier in the year also had a psychiatrist. strange.

i had a PhD interview me. actually, 80% of my interviews at medical schools were PhD's. odd since i have very little research experience. i guess maybe the MD's are too busy to conduct interviews?
