Ok i hope someone out there can help me out?
What is hyalinization as in hyaline membrane disease or hyalinization of arterioles in hypertension or diabetic nephritis or focal segmental.
Any answers would be appreciated.

I believe "hyaline" is kind of a generic term for "pink stuff" on an H&E stain. Thus it can actually be different substances developing from different etiologies. Hyaline membrane disease is the accumulation of protein rich fluid (stains pink) in the alveoli that goes along with respiratory distress syndrome. I'd have to look up exactly what it is for arterioles, but I would guess it is thickening/sclerosis of the arteriolar wall that again looks pink.

Yeah, hyaline = pink, waxy/transparent substance seen under a microscope when the tissue sample is stained with H&E.

Hyaline membrane disease = infant respiratory distress syndrome = premature baby doesn't have surfactant in the lungs = the alveoli collapse = you can see thick, pink membranes under the microscope. The "hyaline membranes" in this case are deposits of fibrin, cellular debris, red blood cells, and sometimes white blood cells. Example: http://erl.pathology.iupui.edu/C603/GENE542.HTM

arteriolar hyalinization = damage = dead wall tissue + extra production of extracellular matrix as it tries to heal. The exact causes of damage are still being studied in the 3 examples that you mention.

thanx for the responses
yea in particularly i was wondering about arterioles as it didn't seem like normal extracellular matrix. mainly because it is an amorphous pink material that really didn't look like the normal organization of collagen and had no fibroblasts.
but yea i guess it makes sense that i can find a clear explanation because we may not have one yet.
well thanx again this is my first post and i thought the response was timely and helpful.
i hope to be a regular user.
