I'm a community college student right now and I'm going to transfer to a UC next year. I still have to complete a lot of pre reqs for dental school and I plan on taking 3 years to graduate.

How will adcoms perceive this schedule?

Year 1: (after transfer)
Orgo

Summer between 1 and 2:
Bio or get an internship...or both

Year 2 :
Bio (either finish the remainder or do the whole year)
Biochem (1 semester/ 2 quarters)

Summer between 2 and 3:
DAT prep
Take DAT

Year 3:
Physics

Of course this is excluding all the upper division classes for my major (psych)

I'm really unsure about this plan b/c it shows that I'm a sissy for not overlapping the classes, but it will help me get better grades...what do you guys think?

They won't care at all.

even though I'm taking the year of physics during applications and decisions?

I did three years at the CC (finished Ochem and Physics before I transferred to UCI), and I'm now finishing up my degree in my second year. Especilly since I took physics already there was very little to do other than upper dev classes - so there is a very good chance you could finish in two years.

The adcoms didn't seem to mind in my case, so don't stress. Good Luck!
