What time can you submit you AMCAS

it's 12:31am on the 5th and mine still will not submit...

I'm guessing this is because it is not yet the 5th on the west coast. So that everyone can submit on the 5th, I suppose they're waiting till midnight in the west, which is 3 am east coast time... Good luck everyone!

I have been reading messages, but I have never had anything to say!
It's my first post, and it's because I can't wait to click that button!

Someone should call the help hotline. They'd be able to tell us, right?
 
so who's staying up til midnight pacific to submit? not me....
 
I know you guys are pretty eager to submit, but a word to the wise:

There are often times bugs in the system that need to be worked out before things can run perfectly smoothly. Waiting a day or two to make sure everything is being received properly will be to your advantage and will not delay or hinder your application in any way.
 
I go to school in AZ, so typically I would. But of course, tonight of all nights, I am back home in Michigan. It's past my bedtime
 
yeah im not stayin up, ill just do it in the morning.
 
I think the earlier the better. I have heard a few admissions counselors say that you are at a great disadvantage to submit your application later than necessary. So here I am trying to submit. Goodluck. 😛

Waiting a month probably wouldn't even be that bad. I think i submitted mine pretty close to August last year... can't remember the exact date...

I have no idea if it hurt my chances or not, so I guess its better safe than sorry?

and by later they meant weeks not days, hours, or even minutes...
 
count me in. it's 1:15am and i just tried and was denied. i napped with my son this afternoon so it is possible in theory i'll be up at 3am. i hope not. But I am definately submitting tomorrow at 7am when my kids wake me up...
 
3:49 AM on the West Coast and it still will not submit! Someone please let us know if they find anything out!
 
Will it make that much of a difference if its 1 day past the first possible moment?
 
lol. I am just waitin till scores come out I think, I really don't think June 5th vs 15th is a huge deal...

yeah I tried at 4am, no luck,
now it's 7:05 and my boys just woke me up, and it's still not accepting it..........
 
Warning!! If you do not submit your application within the first 5 minutes of AMCAS being available for submitions, you jeopardize all chances of getting into medical school!!!!!!

No really, take your time and proofread EVERYTHING. Then do it 400 more times. You'll be glad you did.

Na bro, my apps been done for like 2 weeks now, and been proofread by everyone I know, so there is no need for me to wait any longer than necessary...
 
For the past month I've been sure that I would be submitting it the vbery first second possible. Now I'm sitting here absolutely convinced that I missed something or messed something up that I don't know I'll ever actually get it in 🙄

But seriously guys (and gals), you're ridiculous to think submitting it on the 5th vs. the 8th is going to make a difference. Take a nap, or atleast SLEEP IN. It's summertime, enjoy it. 😎

AMCAS said that applicants can begin sending applications today. They never specified at what time. I'd rather AMCAS take extra time and fix all their bugs than have applications get misplace or unintentionally altered once submitted. A second, minute, hour, day, or week will not make a difference. Take a deep breath. Pace yourself now or you won't last.
 
Ok for everyone who would like to get their application out of their hands ASAP (like me) I just called AMCAS and they said that submissions open at 11:00am.....
WOOOHOOO only an hour an a half till I'm rid of this.....

I have mine all ready to go and they still would not take it at 7:30 on the West Coast. Has anybody called the helpline already. I also have had this application ready forever and was told in a Pre-Med prep class that submitting within the first few hours of the first day highly increases your chances, because they receive 1000's of application on the first day and they review applications and fill seats for interviews in the order that they are received. Has anybody else heard things like this?
 
I hadn't refreshed my page for a moment to see your previous messages! I just submitted mine and it worked!!!! Now the wait begins!

Good luck everyone! It now says that the Status is "submitted to AMCAS-Waiting for Transcripts", but my transcript shows as "Received" below that. Does this mean that they are just waiting to verify things? Does anyone know how long we need to wait to find out that everything has been verified and see their calculations of our GPA, etc.?

Haven't heard of that, but I suppose it makes sense. If you read above, someone called earlier and they said 11:00am (EST, I'm assuming).

check your email. if they have you as missing a transcript they will email you to tell you. i'm having some problems with them regarding summer school transcripts.

*pets on head* breathe, breathe! DUDE, do you have any idea how ahead of the game you are? if it took them a month to verify (which it soooo won't), you'd be totally fine. it'll probably take up to a week or so before that magic day when it says "Processed." so just CHILL! they won't lose, delete, or burn your application just for fun...

You need to reload or log off and log on again. I had that same message and logged off and logged on again, et voila! It shows up. Best of luck.
 
wow you people impress me - I'm waiting on my MCAT score to work on my school list. Here's hoping that comes in some time this week.
 
IT IS FINISHED.......
it feels like such a relief to have that done with, now to just sit back and pray I got a 45 on my MCATs 🙂
