Is it 12 noon Eastern? For both program match day and candidate match day? Do they (SFM) send any e-mail at all?

Usually it is really early, I heard at 7am my time. SFMatch has been known to send the info to the program the night before so every program gets it when they get in that morning. Guess it avoids the time chang issue. Due to that I have heard of folks hearing the night before.

On a side, this year for fellowship they posted where I matched online, so I found out that way. I don't know if this will happen for residency though, first year it happened for fellowship as far as I know.

I don't remember if I got any emails from them

I think SFMatch also sends an e-mail the night before to those who did NOT match. Kinda makes you not want to check your e-mail before you go to bed, eh? 😱

I called in last week. They guy I spoke to said we should be able to log into our account on the 13th so see if we matched (posted under the match results tab) and then an email would be sent on 14th letting us know where (if your dean's office or the program hadn't already contacted you by that time).

Did they happen to say what time on the 13th it would be posted? Hope it's when the clock strikes midnight!

Me too! Although I don't know if I'll sleep either way ... 😉

I got a call from the chairman. Most programs will contact you at some point in the day.

They gave the same response to my sister for her fellowship match this year, and she checked 10:40am eastern time and the results were posted.

She must have been on the west coast to not check until that time. I checked at 6am eastern time and it was posted, so that would be like 2am west coast.

Any post-match vacancies which remain after the match will be announced on this website. Select your specialty from the SF Match home page and click on the "Vacancies" button on the left-hand side menu.
We only list vacancies of programs which have indicated that they will accept applications for their unfilled positions.

Applicants who did not match may begin applying to these positions by negotiating directly with the programs regarding any documentation that they require. If the programs ask you to forward your CAS file, use the post-match distribution form to request your application to be forwarded to the program. There is a fee for this service.
