So I am having an interview next week. The interview day consists of MMIs and campus tours, etc. What should I bring? Should I bring a briefcase so I have a place to put my resume, my notebook, and my pair of flats? (I am a female, so I would want to change into my flats from high heels when doing the campus tour). Thanks!

You don't need to bring a resume with you to interviews. Your application that you submitted serves as one. You really don't need to bring anything other than yourself. Every school will give you a folder with many pieces of paper in it about the school. They will also almost always give you a pen with the schools name on it. With these two things you have everything you need. If you want you can bring a small padfolio like this (Amazon product ASIN B00DQDEJ1E) to write in if you want, I have done this but really have not used it much because they essentially give you this. Don't wear high heels. Wear flats to begin with. Also, bring a smile and good attitude!!!! 🙂

Oh also, bring a small snack bar to munch on. At some point you may feel hungry and there can be a lot of sitting around or listening to talks and a chance to eat it. You may not touch it, but having it there will ease any concern you may have about feeling hungry. Also, bring some cough drops in your pocket. Put one in your mouth a few minutes before your interview so you don't get dry mouth from the nerves. You could also bring a water bottle if you want, but most schools give you bottled water.

As little as possible-- it's awkward carrying all of your stuff from room to room.

I'd suggest just wearing your heels on the interview because there might not be a good moment to change shoes, and shoes can be weird to carry.

A notebook like mentioned above is a decent idea because you might want to take notes in the info session, and it'll give you a place to stick handouts.

All I brought was a small pocket notepad and a pen...nothing else at all was needed for any of my interviews. I never saw anyone with a briefcase at any of my interviews and haven't seen any in the batches that have been coming through my school this year. Basically just something to write in and something to write with and you should be good to go.

Bring confidence, detailed memories of your accomplishments and application information, a professional outfit, and folder (or small baggy?) to take notes, hold stuff, and make you look like you mean business.

And I interviewed (and was accepted HEHE) at the same institution you'll be interviewing at and I will say, you won't need multiple shoes, outfits, nor resumes. You'll probably do more harm than good by bringing all that stuff. Good luck.

I would bring flats, a small notebook, your ID, 1-2 pens, and any personal items you might need like chapstick or anything like that

Granola bar or some other snack.

Sure, they feed you lunch, but if the interview day is long, you might find yourself very hungry at some point during the day.

I'm bringing my muted, airplane mode, turned off phone so I can get my ride to pick me up afterwards, my driver's license for ID, one tissue, one mint, and my overly-dressed, bland hair-cut self.
