What to bring to the Interview

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
For this cycle? All you really need is a good internet connection...

Joking, of course. If you're interviewing in person, bringing a padfolio is a good idea. Just be sure to include documents that can't be found in your application. I talked to a dental student who brought pictures of all the fishing flies they had tied, which helped demonstrate their manual dexterity skills. Just bring anything to make you stand out, really.

I don't see anything wrong with carrying a purse either, so long as it goes with your outfit and adds to your professionalism. But I'm a guy, so I'm no expert in that department.

Should I bring a padfolio with me to my interview? Do you ladies who interviewed before carry a purse?
I brought both! Helped me take notes so I could remember things later on when deciding between schools, and the purse carried my phone, keys, granola bar, bandaids, floss, etc. lol. With the pandemic, you could maybe add a new mask and a small bottle of hand sanitizer in there too.

I brought my IPad to show pictures I had painted. I also saw someone bring a violin to the interview.

If you interview physically, bring something physical to show them. You’ll make them remember you. I brought sheet music of choral music I composed (my big hobby)
