What to do after Step 3?

So after you complete your steps what's next besides doing the rest of residency, are there any more exams left? And do we apply for licence now? Just wondering what the rest of the "to do" are.

Your specialty boards after finishing residency.

Most specialties have specific exams they take at various points during residency as well i.e. ABSITE for gen surgery, AKI for anesthesia etc etc.

^ oh yeah we have yearly in training exams, short versions of the specialty boards to gauge our preparedness and improvement over the years.
