What to do after the interview?

I've been hearing over and over that the interview for pharmacy school is "just like a regular job interview", so after the interview, are we supposed to e-mail/write or call to say thank you for the interview like you are supposed to do after a job interview??

i sent a thank you note to the interviewer and the admissions staff. i think it was only polite, and hopefully it helped them to remember my name. good luck!
