What to do next year?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I would say your medical related ec's are good to go. Get involved in other things you are interested in, volunteer a little in non-medical things, and get a job until you matriculate. You will be set for DO schools 100% if you apply to 5-10. Your mcat is way low for MD but it would still be worth a shot at your state school and a couple other low-tier programs.

Also, def travel the world! As long as you are doing something and not sitting on your ass playing video games, it will be fine. Traveling the world would make great convo for interviews and would broaden your experience with interacting with people from other cultures.

I wouldn't say WAY low (Way low would be 27 - 26 or less), but a 29 is low and sucks since its one point away from that elusive 30, but a retake is definitely in order.
