Okay, so I took the PCAT today... and didn't do so hot:

Verbal: 406 / 58
Bio: 402 / 46
RC: 402 / 54
Quant: 407 / 61
Chem: 399 / 45
Comp: 403 / 52

Honestly, I just didn't study as much as I needed to, plus I just started A&P and Micro this semester. The chem score... there's no excuse for that. I have a 3.72 GPA, 5 hours of pharmacy shadow experience, member of Pre-Health Society, honors society, and the campus chemistry club.

So here's what I want to know: Is it even worth applying with this PCAT score? I don't have the pharmacy experience to bolster my application, and my PCAT score was complete crap... so I have a few options. I could re-take the PCAT in November and try applying for this cycle, even though it would be super late (and is 1.5 months enough to really boost my score?). OR I could wait and study hard and take the PCAT in January and apply for the following cycle (which I honestly don't want to do, but may have to). Advice, anyone?

Either way, I'm also highly considering getting Dr. Collins. But is now to Nov. 1 long enough to use it? Thanks!

I'm not an expert, but if you're unsure I'd do a few things to bolster your app and apply for 2015 :/
Definitely try getting more experience in a pharmacy though, from my understanding some schools don't care as much about the PCAT and your GPA isn't bad.

One month of hardcore Dr Collins studying is enough time to raise that composite. I would still apply. Just go for it. Other parts of your app are strong. PCAT is not everything. But I would definitely retake.

Good GPA and extracurriculars. I'm sure you can get into some school. Check out Cali they don't require pcat.

Or you can study Dr Collins hardcore for a couple weeks.

Thanks for your input! It sounds like a month and a half would probably be enough time to raise my PCAT score.

I was planning on applying to: Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Chicago/Rockford. I know they're all in the same area but I have a lot of ties here and moving somewhere super far away would be a problem.

So, next question, opinion of the November PCAT? Will be submitting my application way too late? Wisconsin's deadline is November 1...
