Hi everyone,
I just want to say that I am glad that this forum exists. There is so much information, and I am fortunate to have many of my questions answered.
So I am a senior and I've been on the pre-health track for some years now. I'm quite excited that I only have 2 more classes to take. Both classes are physics and then I will DONE...well at least with my bachelors.
That said, I am really turning over when I should take the DAT. I plan on knocking out the physics courses in the summer. However, I was also planning on visiting my family in North Africa later in the summer, as I haven't seen them since 2005.
I'm really tossing over if I should even bother taking the DAT in August/September and submitting my application late.
I also need to work on shadowing or volunteering in a dental clinic. I was referred to the name a few in my area, however I am currently a full time student and working part time. I don't think I can add another thing to my schedule...not to mention I am a mom. 😉 The good thing is that I am an undergraduate researcher and I was a School of Life Sciences mentor for 2 semesters. So I have those working for me.
My current GPA is 3.64. I am hoping that it will continue to rise this semester.
So I am asking those who have taken their time to read this as to what they think I should do? My SO is pushing for me to take the DAT in August. I really want to make sure that I do the six week study plan because getting a good score on the DAT is must. Plus I have a slight math amnesia and I really need to improve and refresh those skills.
Thanks for reading
