Hey 3rd/4th year med students. I have approximately 7 months before 3rd year rotations start. Im working on a pretty easy master's degree and have a lot of free time.

What would you suggest to read to help for wards? What do you wish you had "mastered" before you walked in?

Thanks, I appreciate all the suggestions.

Really, it's a whole new game that has to do more with your personality and work ethic than your knowledge base. I would just savor your free time.

Took a year off between MS2 and MS3, with Step 1 already out of the way?

Relax. Be prepared to put in work, especially in your first rotation. You will be going against people who have Step 1 information fresh in their heads and will be able to regurgitate it on command. I wouldn't recommend doing much of anything prior to the rotation started.

My dear friends just stay relaxed & try to do bit of everything to divert your attention. But if you are interested to make a most of your free time then would suggest you to read out good medical books or watch documentaries to enhance your knowledge better.

Take a sweet ass vacation.
