So I've been giving it some more thought... and need people's opinion/advice on the matter.

My credentials are as follows:

UGPA: 2.94 (science) 3.11 (overall) -- biology and classics double major (C- in Physics II)
Grad GPA: 3.7 -- PhD immunology (Emory Univ/Dr. Rafi Ahmed)
GRE: i forget the exact score... but i did ok -- verbal: ~650; quant: ~750

** two first author papers in respectable journal and 3 non-first author papers **

Initially, I was thinking about applying to Drexel MSP and study for the MCAT... but I'm assuming that the grades from Drexel MSP is mostly counted towards Grad GPA. So now I'm wondering if I should work for a year and study for the MCAT and then apply to Drexel IMS program instead a year from today. I figure this way I can save some money on educational expenses rather than taking out loans for the MSP and then the IMS.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

You could take undergrad science courses to improve your GPA. I know it seems weird to do that if you have a PhD in a biological area, but it might actually be the best idea. If you do well in MCAT, you can also do a SMP, but SMPs are last resorts.

Most SMP deadlines are June 1st with non rolling admissions (exceptions are Georgetown and Drexel) and there is no earthly reason you need a full year to study for the MCATs if you have a good command of the English language. Take TPR or Kaplan, take the April MCAT, and if you´re going to do an SMP at least apply to start this fall. recommend EVMS.

EVMS is non-rolling? That would make me very very happy!
