Hey everyone,

I've been on these forums for I believe at least a year now. This is my 2nd time applying to schools.

I've applied in late September and have not heard anything back for interviews yet.. 🙁 It's very discouraging.

I mean I know my stats are subpar, but do people who get late interviews even get a chance at admission? At this point, I'm not sure what to expect. I applied and got accepted to the UK.

The main thing that is stopping me I believe is my prereqs, which are still not considered complete, cause some are below a C. I don't know if I should bother enrolling in them right now before I even get an offer to the school. If I get rejected, that would be a waste of time and money.

I contacted the schools and they either say my file is just on hold basically, waiting to the competitiveness of other files.

My stats are 3.02 GPA and 310 OAT.

I guess my question is should I enroll to re-take my pre-reqs now or wait for an interview invite and decision.

Thanks!👍

Hey there, don't be discouraged. I think most schools don't accept prerequisites below a C, is that correct? So you'd definitely be wise to enroll asap to retake those! What is your degree in? Is that your science GPA or your overall? I know they look mostly at science but I guess it also depends upon what your degree is in as well.

From what I have interpreted, no schools take any prerequisites below C, or a C- in some schools. I do know that some people with perhaps one credit as a C- may have gotten by without retaking it though. I guess its assessed on an individual basis.

1) Call specific schools of interest to get their opinion on the whole C or C- thing on the transcript. Is it allowed or not?

2) Study VERY HARD for the OAT and make sure to do much better on it. Keep taking it until you get around the 340-350 range as this is what you will need to offset the low GPA.
